Tranquil Chaos: Reiki – Reiki Session Terms & Conditions

1. Appointments & Bookings

• All Reiki sessions must be booked in advance.
• Appointments are confirmed once a booking has been agreed by both parties.
• Sessions are available:
  • Mobile appointments at the client’s location
  • Treatments at the practitioner’s premises by appointment
• Mobile sessions are available in and around Billericay, Basildon, Brentwood, Chelmsford, and Wickford.
• Clients booking mobile sessions must provide a safe, quiet, and suitable space for the treatment to take place.

2. Payment

• Reiki sessions are priced at £25 per hour unless otherwise agreed.
• Payment is due at the time of the session via cash or agreed electronic payment method.
• Any additional travel charges outside the standard service area will be discussed before confirmation of the booking.

3. Cancellation Policy

• A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling.
• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
• Failure to attend or no response upon arrival for mobile appointments may result in the full session fee being charged.

4. Arrival & Delays

• Please ensure the treatment area is ready at the agreed appointment time for mobile sessions.
• If the practitioner is delayed due to traffic or unforeseen circumstances, clients will be informed as soon as possible.
• If the client is late, session time may be reduced to avoid impacting later appointments.

5. Health & Medical Information

• Clients must disclose any relevant medical conditions, injuries, pregnancy, epilepsy, or health concerns before the session begins.
• Clients who are pregnant or have epilepsy are advised to seek advice from their GP, consultant, or midwife before booking a Reiki treatment.
• Reiki is a complementary therapy and is not intended to replace medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
• Clients should continue to follow advice from qualified healthcare professionals.

6. Contraindications

• Reiki may not be suitable in certain situations. Please advise before booking if you:
  • Have recently undergone surgery
  • Have serious medical conditions
  • Experience severe mental health conditions
  • Are under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs

7. Professional Boundaries

• All sessions are conducted professionally and respectfully.
• Any inappropriate behaviour towards the practitioner will result in the session ending immediately without refund.
• The practitioner reserves the right to refuse or terminate a session if they feel unsafe or uncomfortable.

8. Hygiene & Environment

• Clients are responsible for providing a clean, safe, smoke-free, and respectful environment for mobile sessions.
• Pets should be secured where possible to maintain a calm treatment environment.

9. Confidentiality

• All personal information and discussions during Reiki sessions will remain confidential unless disclosure is required by law or there is a risk of harm.

10. Insurance

• Tranquil Chaos: Reiki is fully insured for Reiki treatments and mobile therapy services.

11. Liability

• Reiki treatments are undertaken voluntarily by the client.
• Tranquil Chaos: Reiki accepts no liability for loss, damage, injury, or illness arising from sessions except where required by law.

12. Consent

• By booking a session, the client confirms they:
  • Understand Reiki is a complementary therapy
  • Are voluntarily participating
  • Agree to these terms and conditions
